Like a lot of people, I'd heard of the Prayer of Jabez ("Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory..." 1 Chronicles 4:10), but I'd never heard of the Prayer of Agur until I read it in a sermon by Mike Strathdee. There's A Jubilee a-Comin'

At the heart of Biblical teaching about economic stewardship and justice is the notion and practice of "Jubilee". You can read all about it in Leviticus 25, Jesus picks up on it in Luke 4:16-21, and echoes of it are everywhere in Scripture. What will it take for us to start to see this kind of dramatic economic change as "good news"...? Wouldn't it be great if there was a song we could sing that could help us do that? Artwork: Psalm 104

I asked Winnipeg artist Lynette Schroeder-Wiebe if she would create a work of art based on Psalm 104, and this spectacular piece is what resulted. It is used - as a whole piece and in parts - throughout the My Money Talks CD jacket design, and we hope to make it available as a poster that you can buy as well.

Artist Statement:

Psalm 104 reflects for me the all-encompassing understanding of our loving God. It outlines everything above, around and below the earth as part of creation - the rumbling earth, the fire within, and the light above. As with the earth, God embraces us - the light and the dark within each of us - laying before each one the opportunity to praise and honour our creator with everything that we touch and with everything that touches us.
